Exit from the north gate of Tenryuji, and the bamboo grove will be right in front of you. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and beautiful green scenery as you walk through this popular relaxation spot.

When you return to the Arashiyama shopping street from the bamboo grove, you’ll find many dining options. Recommended spots near the grove’s exit include Taisho HANANA and Arashiyama Kijuro. During peak seasons, there may be long waits, so eating while walking is also recommended.
14:00 Enjoy the Autumn Leaves at Jojakkoji Temple
Climb the steps surrounded by autumn leaves to reach a popular spot that offers a magnificent view of the Saga region.
15:30 View the Autumn Leaves at Nisonin Temple
Walk along a grand approach dyed crimson, creating the breathtaking scene of walking through a tunnel of autumn leaves.

End your delightful day by returning the kimono.

Few restaurants remain open after 6:00 PM, but one recommendation is Shin-Togetsu for soba noodles. The broth is rich and comforting, perfect for a chilly day.
