Enjoy a light brunch at a café with a great view. Recommended is “Bread and Espresso,” just a 5-minute walk from Kyolan.
12:30 Relaxing at the Tenryu-ji Temple Garden
Stroll around the garden and then sit in a tatami room to share a quiet moment. It’s the perfect setting for having a relaxed conversation in a calm atmosphere.
13:30 Magical Time in the Bamboo Grove
Walk through the bamboo grove, taking photos and enjoying the pleasant atmosphere. The negative ions released by the bamboo help calm and soothe both body and mind.
14:15 Praying for Love Fulfillment at Nonomiya Shrine
Nonomiya Shrine is known for prayers related to love fulfillment and good relationships. Drawing a water fortune slip is also enjoyable. The shrine is also a place for academic and safe childbirth prayers.

Rent a boat near Togetsukyo Bridge and enjoy a leisurely time on the river, soaking up the natural surroundings with the gentle breeze.

There are many souvenir shops near Kyolan. Recommended items include Kyoto Baumkuchen and Miffy bread. Sake and folding fans are also popular.
