10:30 Departure
Hair set, check! Kimono, check! Let’s start with a selfie and then enjoy Arashiyama in your kimono.
10:35 Strolling Around Togetsukyo Bridge
Walk across the Togetsukyo Bridge and take photos with the beautiful scenery as a backdrop.
11:00 Exploring the Kimono Forest
In this forest made up of beautiful kimono patterns, you can take colorful and cute photos. It becomes even more enchanting when illuminated at night.
11:30 Arashiyama Romantic tram train
The Arashiyama romantic tram train departs from Saga-Arashiyama Station, passing through bamboo groves and into the mountains, offering breathtaking views of Arashiyama. It is especially recommended in autumn. It is advisable to reserve train tickets in advance.
12:30 Hozugawa River Boat Ride
The last station of the scenic train is Kameoka Station. While you can take a return train from there, a popular option is to board a boat at the nearby pier for the fun attraction known as the Hozugawa River Boat Ride. The disembarkation point for this ride is near Togetsukyo Bridge.
13:30 A Slightly Late Lunch
After disembarking from the boat, a 3-4 minute walk will bring you to the soba restaurant Arashiyama Yoshimura. If you’re lucky, you can get a special seat with a view of the Katsura River and enjoy soba noodles. Another highly recommended restaurant is Shintogetsu, which is also very delicious.
14:30 Coffee (Tea) Break
After leaving the soba restaurant, on your way back toward the disembarkation point, you’ll find the famous % Arabica Kyoto. Enjoying a coffee while sitting by the river is a beautiful experience.
15:00 Relaxing at the Tenryu-ji Temple Garden
Stroll around the garden and then sit in a tatami room to share a quiet moment. It’s the perfect setting for having a relaxed conversation in a calm atmosphere.
15:45 Magical Time in the Bamboo Grove
Walk through the bamboo grove, taking photos and enjoying the pleasant atmosphere. The negative ions released by the bamboo help calm and soothe both body and mind.
16:15 Praying for Love Fulfillment at Nonomiya Shrine
Nonomiya Shrine is known for prayers related to love fulfillment and good relationships. Drawing a water fortune slip is also enjoyable. The shrine is also a place for academic and safe childbirth prayers.
17:00 Souvenir Shopping
There are many souvenir shops near Kyolan. Recommended items include Kyoto Baumkuchen and Miffy bread. Sake and folding fans are also popular.
18:00 Kimono Return (Kyolan)
End the delightful day by returning the kimono.
